You will take advantage of what a lot consider as the most beautiful refuge of the Corsican Mountain, a warm welcome, excellent meals and an exceptional environment. The refuge has access to a natural swimming pool for the pleasure of all and beautiful rivers in the surroundings that allow some grilling of freshly fished trout come evening.
Moreover, in order to get off the beaten path, we guarantee a Corsican guide who knows perfectly the region that will help you discover exceptional landscapes but also the wildlife, the flora as well as local crafts, thanks to our shepherd friends. |
Day 1 From Bastia to Corte
Rendez-vous at the harbour station of Bastia at 14H30 (contact us if you arrive later but do not worry, there will not be any problems). Transfer to Corte and installation at your hotel. |
Day 2 From Corte to the refuge
Today, you will walk from Corte to your refuge. You will follow the Tavignano in its beautiful valley. You can enjoy a bath in the river before hiking up to the refuge surrounded by pine trees.

Day 3 Lakes and Lost Valley
Here you will leave for the discovery of a very beautiful lake situated at more than 1740M of altitude. Natural swimming pools and cascades are on the program. You will pass in a valley not very frequented, for the paths are not indicated on the maps. An extension to the Lake of Nino, can be arranged. Numerous possibilities of swimming. Hiking time: About 6 hours 30. + 720M, - 166M. |  |

Day 4 Sheepfolds and Granite Slabs
This time, you will leave in the Valley of Binodello and its former pastures and abandoned sheepfolds. There you will see former cheese caves. Your trip will take you on wide slabs of granite in crests then you descend towards a charming stream proper for swimming.

Day 5 Wild Forests and Natural Springs
Your guide takes you to the heart of a little known forest that has kept its authenticity. You will discover the ruins of a very ancient chapel and picnic at the Argeto Fountain where you will be able to fill up your canteen. The viewpoints are splendid on the surrounding granite summits. Many possibilities of swimming on the journey.

Day 6 Pozzine and departure from the Refuge
This last day of hiking will be the occasion to attain the Sheepfolds of Menta and its pozzines of trout. The step is very pleasant and follows the course of a pretty stream. Either you will be able to discover new summits or direct towards more resting places to take advantage of your last moments in this splendid Corsican region. Departure from the refuge in the afternoon then transfer to Bastia.

Day 7 Bastia
End of the stay after your breakfast in Bastia. For all stay extensions (diving, bicycle...), we remain at your disposal. |
